Babe of the Year

The Babe of the Year contest is an annual contest to decide who the hottest celebrity babe was that year. The contest is decided purely on how you the voters vote. You decide who is nominated and your votes alone decide who advances in each round until the eventual winner is crowned. The inaugural contest began in October 2006.

2006

NOMINATIONS

 132 domestic and international celebrities were nominated in the 2006 contest. 

ROUNDS 

In total including the finals there were 6 rounds of competition.66 women survived the first round of competitions. The 2nd round left us with 22 gals heading into round 3. Exiting round 3 left us with the Final 8 contestants :Anne Hathaway, Elisha Cuthbert, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, Kate Beckinsale, Katherine Heigl and Scarlett Johansson. The most surprising result in this bracket is when Elisha Cuthbert and Jennifer Love Hewitt were pitted head to head JLH was the victor by 2 mere votes. This left us with the Final 4 of Jennifer Love Hewitt, Jessica Alba, Kate Beckinsale and Scarlett Johansson. Advancing to the finals were Scarlett Johansson over Jessica Alba and Jennifer Love Hewitt over Kate Beckinsale. Both ladies advanced by a fair margin over their competition in this round. In one of the closest rounds Scarlett Johansson toppled Jennifer Love Hewitt by 2 votes to become the 2006 Babe of the Year.

2007

Nominations

In the 2007 contest a total of 94 babes were nominated.

Rounds

Including the final round this year's contest consisted of 7 rounds. This may also be the year of the upsets as many heavyweights were likely eliminated before expected. It also included the crowning of a new Babe of the Year when Scarlett Johansson was eliminated in earlier rounds and Kristen Bell finally won in the finals to become the 2007 Babe of the Year.

2008

Nominations

In 2008 the contest had a total of 112 nominees.

Rounds

This year once again saw a crowning of a new champion for the third consecutive year. There were a total of 7 rounds again this year. Anne Hathaway was ultimately crowned the 2008 Babe of the Year after defeating Jessica Biel and Eliza Dushku in successive rounds. Perhaps the most impressive performance yet by a contestant.
