How did you come up with the name Phatchopolis? How is it pronounced?

When I created the name I was thinking of Metropolis, from Superman. I envisioned a sprawling city/destination that was immense in size. That's how the name came about. It's pronounced differently than most think. The pronunciation should be P-hatch-op-o-lis which would sound like pee-hatch-op-oh-liss.

What do you use for your scans and to produce your images?

In the past I've for a scanner used Canon's fantastic CanoScan flatbed series. I highly recommend them. I currently have an Epson scanner which produces subpar results, which accounts for my lack of producing new work. When I do collages of TV shows I sometimes do captures via a TV Tuner card, DVD or video file. Intervideo WinDVR was my choice capping from live tv. In the past I've used Intervideo WinDVD for DVD's but in recent years as it's become more bloated I've been a bigger fan of Cyberlink PowerDVD. VideoLAN and SMPlayer are other great options when working from video file or DVD as both are powerful and free. All my images are finished in Adobe Photoshop.

Do I need to register for the website and messageboard?

Yes. Unfortunately the system I used to allow integration between the two has become incompatible.
